This was sent to my Message Center at The Sims 2 Site. So I thought I'd share it with everyone.

The Sims On Stage is Announced!

Hi everyone,
We're happy to announce that we have a new addition to The Sims family - TheSimsOnStage.com! This is a fantastic site that we think our fellow Simmers are going to love.

The site was formerly Singshot.com which was a karaoke site acquired by Electronic Arts in February of this year. Our Sims team got a hold of the site and put their own spin on it. This site is a great addition to our Sims community that lets people connect with each other and showcase their creativity and talent.

My favorite new feature is the "Mashup" tool. This easy-to-use tool lets you make cool movies using clips and images that our team produced using The Sims 2 games just for this. What I really like about the site is that you can be creative in so many ways. You can sing and record karaoke, you can write stories or tell jokes, create online contests, and there's an open mic and webcam for recording your work. The best part is you can choose to make your work public for everyone to see and vote on or you can keep it private and only share it with your friends.

So what does this have to do with The Sims? The Sims has become much more than a life simulation video game...it's about having fun, being creative, being a part of a community and sharing creations. The Sims(TM) On Stage is just the first part of this bigger experience and there will be more to come!

Go check it out:

We hope you'll take a look at this new site, try it out, and maybe even become a member of this new creative community.

Thanks,
MaxoidDrea & Web Team
